DAY ONE.
Our 2002 holiday on the Isle of Wight (UK) started with a 30 minute ride on the car ferry
from Portsmouth to Fishbourne. We decided to stay in Ryde which is a small holiday town on
the NE Coast of the island, it has a massive sandy beach when the tide goes out, which is
great for water fights. We met Dolphin at the ferry port and then went on our first adventure,
which was an interesting drive along some muddy off road tracks and through water filled fords.
We arrived at Freshwater bay, where I took some photographs of Dolphin and Twillin having a
water fight with their super soakers. Dolphin and Twillin then decided that I looked too dry
and threw me in the sea... As we left the beach a few people were looking at our soaked clothes.

DAY TWO.
We started the day with a fully clothed swim in the hotel pool taking some pictures and video.
We then explored a very quiet beach where we had a very bizarre game of tennis using
water bombs, with every successful hit we got more and more soaked, it was great fun, but
sadly we had used our entire supply of water bombs, I don't know who won but it was great fun.
We then headed for a place called "Fountain World", of course Twillin just could not resist
testing the fountains! We then took our soggy Twillin back to Ryde beach where Dolphin and
Twillin got into a bit of a water fight with some local guys who were also armed with water
pistols, they all seemed to have a great time. We finished the day by watching the Sandown
illuminated Carnival which was an ideal opportunity to let our clothes dry before returning
to the hotel.

DAY THREE.
We again started the the day with a dip in the hotel pool wearing different clothes. After
the pool we made for the town of Cowes (Famous for yacht racing). Twillin and Dolphin then
planned a little public show, I got into position with the video camera, and ACTION! Dolphin
chased Twillin with his super soaker and both of them came running through the group of
young people standing by the sea wall, finally the pair of them jumped from the jetty into
the sea. Some of the guys then jumped in the sea as well. In the afternoon Twillin wanted to
get gunged so we bought some ingredients and crossed the Cowes chain ferry to visit a quiet
wood where Twillin made some Shaving foam custard pies, which really did look like custard,
Dolphin eagerly threw them at him while I took some photographs and video. On the way back
to Ryde we stopped to look at an old disused holiday camp near wootton. That evening we
watched the Ryde Carnival, which went passed our hotel.

DAY FOUR.
The weather was looking rather dull as we started the day with our now usual session in the
hotel pool. Since the weather was not looking too good we visited the Dinosaur museum in
Sandown, as we left Sandown we looked to see if the jetski's were running, sadly the bad
weather had even stopped them too. We drove through the town of Ventnor to the collapsed
road, which had now slid further down the hill side than last year. We continued along the
coast road to St Katherins point where we parked the car. The wind was blowing very strong
as we climbed down the path to the beech, we managed to get our socks and trainers wet as we
watched the big waves breaking on the beach. We climbed back up to the car park and made for
Alum bay and the needles. When we arrived at this normally popular beach, it was almost
deserted, we stayed long enough to make some coloured sand filled thingys as Souvenirs.
We then went off road driving again through the fords making our way back to Ryde.

DAY FIVE.
On the last day we had our final session in the hotel pool. We booked out of the hotel and
then headed for Sandown beach, we were in luck the jestski's were running again! while we
were waiting for our turn on the jetski's we played on the beach and I buried twillin in the
sand and took a couple of photographs. We took it in turns to go out on the jetski's so that
we could take some photographs of each other, it was great fun speeding over the surface
of the water and getting splashed by the waves, the jetski's were my favourite part of our
holiday. After the jetski's we went back to Ryde and walked along the pier to watch the
hovercraft coming and going Sadly like all good things, our holiday on the Isle of Wight
came to an end. We said our good bye's to Dolphin and made our way onto the ferry, home
ward bound.

We all really enjoyed our visit to the Isle of Wight and hope to return again, If the locals
have not banned us!
