"Swimming Pools" by Neptune

TOOTING BEC LIDO.
Competion Pool (Not heated)
Refreshments available

Twillin and me have been to this pool a couple of times. The water is always very cold even on hot sunny days and as you can see in the above photograph there is not much activity in the pool. Can you see Neptune hiding in the picture ? Although not strictly allowed Twillin did get to wear his American football shirt in the pool and I took some underwater photographs of him for his website. To get warmed up and dry off we played with our football and frizby in the surrounding park.

GUILDFORD LIDO.
Competion Pool (Heated) with large grassed area

The water is a lot warmer than Tooting Bec Lido and so there are a lot more people swimming in the pool. Twillin tried swimming in his American football shirt, but he had only been in the pool for 30 seconds when the life guards told him that T-shirts were not allowed in the pool. This could be the record for the shortest fully clothed swim in the world.

GUILDFORD SPECTRUM.
Leisure Pool, Diving Pool, Competion Pool and Teaching pool
Refreshments available plus many other sports facilities

The leisure pool area is great fun it has a wave machine, two flumes and a slide which you go down in rubber rings, there is also a childrens area with a small slide. Twillin and me go here a lot in the winter, we sometimes swim in the morning then ice skate in the afternoon. Take a look at their website at http://www.guildfordspectrum.co.uk

LEATHERHEAD LEISURE CENTER.
Diving Pool, Competion pool and Teaching pool
Refreshments available other sports facilities

This is just a no frills basic swimming pool. We sometimes go there in winter when the weather is bad and we don't want to travel too far. It has a good diving pool.

POOL IN THE PARK (WOKING).
Leisure Pool, Competion pool and Teaching Pool

The Leisure Pool has a Wave machine,a Flume and Rappids. All thought not as big as Spectrum or the Triangle it is usually not so busy, we sometimes have the whole leisure pool to our selves, they have a couple of video screens so you can watch cartoons while in the jackuzi's.

THE TRIANGLE (BURGESS HILL).
Leisure Pool, Competion Pool and Outdoor Lido (Heated)
Refreshments available and other sports facilites.

The leisure pool has Two flumes one fast and one slow, An indoor water slide, indoor and outdoor rapids. Twillin and me were at this pool a few times last winter. It is quite fun to go around the outside water rapid section when the air temperature is cold. Twillin has not been stoped from wearing his lycra T-shirt in the pools but I don't think they would allow swimming in clothes. The pools are always very busy especially at the weekends or school holidays.

WAVELENGTHS (DEPTFORD).
Large Leisure Pool

Twillin and me have been to a couple of great pool parties which were organised by Squish. The pool is quite large and has a wave machine and two large diameter flumes. Swimming in clothes is now only allowed for parties and private bookings. We took quite a lot of pictures some of which have been posted in Gallery Album 1. We also enjoyed playing on the floating mats as you can see in the picture. Thanks Squish for all your hard work organising both events.

WADURS POOL (SHOREHAM).
Competion Pool

Twillin and me have been to this pool quite a few times as guests of the Brighton groups "Swimming in Clothes" sessions. Depending on the time of the session we sometimes get the whole pool to use. We even took our water proof camera to take some underwater photographs which should be posted on the wackywet.com in the near future, I have included one picture here as a taster. We always have a great time and Stefan is a great host. To meet up with the Brighton group contact Stefan at wackywet for details.
